This painting recently took First Place in the Professional Division Landscape Paintings category at the 2013 Contra Costa County Fair
A dramatic sky coupled with the purples and blue greens of fresh growing cabbage stopped me in my tracks on a drive a drive along a farm road off of Highway 101 in Soledad, California. I was very excited to paint the scene as I remembered it when I got home. Monterey County is blessed with many beautiful farms growing so much of the food we eat. It always pleases me to see the rows of produce and the people who work in these places.
